There is no such thing as a bomb proof horse/mule. If they have never seen or heard an obstacle before, it does not exist. Until that is, you ride up on it and they FREAK! However, you can introduce them to new and difficult obstacles to desensitize them which in the long run helps them cope with situations and improves their courage and understanding. Come join Rakkan's NEW BOMB PROOF COURSE. The only one in Central Oregon. Learn from Sharon Studdard how to work your horse/mule past, over and through obstacles like banners, street signs, debris fields, flares, helium balloons, noodle car wash walk through. Expose them to a starter pistol, teeter totter bridge, walking the plank, stepping up on a pedestal, going over a mattress and water crossings. Teach them to pull sleds, and the most fun obstacle is our 72" cage ball. They will be pushing it around our 150' x 260' arena in no time. Expose your hunting horse, 4-H horse, OHSET horse, trail horse or show horse to all of these for a more mature response to "spooky" things in your future. If any of you have friends that own horses please alert them to this fantastic new course. The only one in Central Oregon. You'll be doing them a favor.
