Cost for training $350 plus board (see Boarding Section for several options) Get your horse in shape for hunting season, trails or shows with conditioning and supplying training. If your horse has been off the job for a while and you don’t have the time or just don’t want to take the time to tune up your horse yourself then let Zak Preston do it for you. He will remind the hunting horse how to hobble and high line and to get his legs on the back country. After a week in the arena with strength training he will take your hunting or trail horse out on the trail for reality based training. If your horse needs to get ready for show season and is out of shape, Zak will exercise and condition your horse for you. After evaluating your horse Zak will sit down with you and make out a comprehensive plan of expectations before he starts.
Cost for training $350 plus board (see Boarding Section for several options) Get your young horse off to a good start with professional ground training and cross over lessons for you. Zak will teach your young horse to lead and soft tie. He will body blanket train them as well as work with their feet and grooming. Learning to load in a trailer at this age is optimum and pays off in the long run. Better to train them when they are this size than when they are full grown. After the initial 30 days he will sit down with you and evaluate your next move together. After evaluating your horse Zak will sit down with you and make out a comprehensive plan of expectations before he starts.
Cost of training for 60 days is $1000 plus board (see Boarding Section for several options) Depending on the breed and size of your 2 year old will greatly influence how far Zak can safely train your horse without injury as their knees are still open. Training will include biting and long lining, clipping and bathing and being ponied. The first rides will depend on the stability of the young horse. Ground manners will be addressed as well as hard tying. Trailer loading will be taught if needed. After evaluating your horse Zak will sit down with you and make out a comprehensive plan of expectations before he starts.
Cost of training for 90 days is $1500 plus board (see Boarding Section for several options) Training will include biting and long lining, clipping and bathing. Ground manners will be addressed as well as hard tying. Trailer loading will be reinforced if necessary. Zak will also teach hobbling and high line work where it applies. An introduction to ropes will also depend on the mental status of the young horse. Arena work to supple the horse while giving time under saddle may prepare your horse for some light trail work at the end of the 90 days. After the initial evaluation of your horse Zak will sit down with you and make out a comprehensive plan of expectations before he starts.
